Tax Matters

Theodore L. Craft, Esq., LLM, Attorney At Law and Tax Counsel, focuses on providing effective representation for defendants in all civil tax matters, including tax audits, collection enforcement, summons enforcement, appeals and agreements to compromise or close issues with the Internal Revenue Service. We also defend clients against charges that allege violations of criminal tax statutes prosecutable by the United States through the Department of Justice.

Our principal, Ted Craft, has 13 years of service in the Office of the Chief Counsel for the Internal Revenue Service.  This has given him extensive experience in tax trials, tax policy-making, tax brief-writing and tax appeals. In his 18 years of private practice representing individuals and businesses in the Boston area, he has handled numerous challenging cases.

Here are some examples of the tax issues our firm handles:

If you haven't filed income taxes for several years, we can help bring you into compliance with the IRS and work out a financial arrangement up to and including a compromise in your tax liability. If the IRS has mistreated you in a way that violates the prohibitions laid down by Congress for IRS collection behavior, we can perfect a due process appeal or a collection appeal.

Call Theodore L. Craft at 781-665-6872 to qualify your concerns.
